Order terms
These terms govern orders placed with Le Cap Taisne through this website or WhatsApp. Our service works on a "click & collect" basis: you send an order request, we confirm it, then you collect and pay for it in store.
1. Nature of the order
Any order placed through this website or WhatsApp is a booking request. It becomes firm only after we confirm it, usually by a phone call. No sale is concluded online.
2. Payment
No payment is requested or processed online. Payment is made only on pickup, in store (cash, card and MCB Juice).
3. Pickup (click & collect)
Orders are collected in store in Black River, Mauritius, during our opening hours (Tuesday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM). The pickup time is agreed together during the confirmation call.
4. Cancellation and changes
You may cancel or change your order by letting us know by phone as soon as possible, and at the latest [deadline to be set, e.g. the day before pickup]. As our products are fresh and often made to order, a late cancellation may not be possible.
5. Conformity and guarantee
At the counter, before paying, you may check your order and refuse any product that does not suit you or is not as described. This does not limit the statutory guarantee of conformity, which applies in all cases; nothing in these terms exempts the seller from it.
6. Fresh products
Our products are perishable goods, often prepared specially at your request. As such, the right of withdrawal applicable to distance sales does not apply in the same way. This does not reduce your rights in case of a non-conforming product.
